Guardians of the Galaxy?

Um heck yes to Guardians of the Galaxy! All of you know I have quirky ideas, right? And a passion for Marvel? Well this passion has helped me create some pretty cool ideas, but I am truly in love with how this one turned out. The plus side? We are featured in Offbeat Bride for these pictures this week! I cannot think of a better reason to celebrate the second movie in the series coming out than by giving you these pictures to feast on!

The Table Settings

It’s Guardians of the Galaxy, so obviously there is a lot of gold in this. From the linens, to the cutlery, glasses, table chargers. It’s the perfect setting to show of dark pops of blue, green and burgundy. To add a subtle space feel, terrariums were used to hold the flowers. I love the height of the flowers almost as much as the starburst napkin holders. Also, rock candy was added to all the floral arrangements. Because yes.

maximize your weddingMaximize Your Wedding Day

It is completely possible to maximize your wedding day photography coverage. Your wedding day passes faster than you can image. Having a game plan for your wedding day, to get the pictures that you want is, from a photographer’s perspective, truly important. You want to have the photographers there long enough to capture some before ceremony moments, but to also stay long enough to get those flower tossing, garter-grabbing moments. So how do you maximize your time while getting the images you want?

First Look

Doing a first look helps you space out your day better. It might not be traditional, but it is becoming so popular these days, that it isn’t out of left field anymore. By having those twenty or so minutes together before you get married helps you get some {if not all} of your portraits with each other. It is also a great moment for the two of you to have, with no one else around. You can collect yourselves, love on each other. Every first look I have photographed has been heartfelt and gorgeous.

Galveston Engagement

Sarah and Earl had lots of ideas for their engagement session, a family farm {gorgeous idea!}, their venue or Galveston. Since these two love Galveston and it has a ton of visual interest, they decided on there. And it wouldn’t be an engagement without Sarah’s son Noah. The four of us got up to antics and fun one gorgeous morning, with some great pictures as a result!!

City Hall

We started the session at City Hall, all the cool looking pillars, with the brick made for some great images. And you know I can’t just have smiling pictures, I always require on tongue picture. Please enjoy their tongues *wink*

Houston Fitness Blogger

In my Houston blogger features, next up is Michelle from Lively Fit Mind. I met this genuinely sweet woman through Sarah {from Gracefully Sassy}. Michelle just launched her blog in December. It has a fitness focus, but she talks about a lot of topics! Michelle is invested in people’s mental health, as much as their physical. So she talks about things from being disciplined in your eating, to awesome workouts. In 2017 she branched into talking about having a healthy relationship with social media to having a healthy mindset to improve your life. As a result I truly enjoy reading what she writes, as it is always thoughtfully put together.

Michelle and I have done a good mix of images together. We started off with her in workout gear, and her doing some recipes in her gorgeous home. In 2017 we branched into casual outfits, where she discussed being financially responsible. As a result, her blog entries tie into her mantra of having a healthy relationship with the things in your life.
